These original coastal survey charts were printed by the
U.S. Navy Hydrographic Office in Washington D.C. during
the Second World War. Depth soundings are shown in
fathoms. Other details include the names of
cities and waterways along the coast.
Many of the
charts were adapted or copied directly from the latest
amended British Admiralty Charts of the time with
additions made by the US Navy where applicable.
